Apple’s Spring Event is Finally in Sight

Apple Spring Loaded Event

First we thought Apple’s Spring Event would be in March. Then it wasn’t. Then it was supposed to be in April. Then we heard new hardware might launch this month, but with no event at all. Then there was rumor last week that iPads and MacBook Pros could possibly be delayed until later in the year because of the ongoing international semiconductor shortage.

Thanks to Siri first, and then Apple PR, now we know that Apple’s Event will be next Tuesday at 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time (11 Mountain, 12 PM Central and 1 PM Eastern). There also isn’t much mystery as to the star of the show and other potential items to be announced, so I won’t belabor the details and rehash what you already know. If you are reading this, then you likely know all of the rumors already.

I’m more interested in knowing what people are most looking forward to out of this event. I assume it’s obvious that the 12.9″ iPad Pro is that device for me. After selling my 2018 model early and making due with the iPad Air for the last 2 1/2 months, I’m ready to get back to the larger screen and the Pro’s top line features.

While the iPad Pro is the hardware I’m most looking forward to, I’m also very interested to see if the AirTags FINALLY arrive. I think I will start off with three to protect my wallet, keys and laptop bag. It’s hard to get excited about something so utilitarian, but I’m definitely interested.

I would also buy a new Apple TV on launch day. Mine is two gens old, so it’s time to move up. I’m not completely sure if a 3rd generation Apple Pencil will arrive next Tuesday, but if it does, it will undoubtedly end up in my Apple Store shopping cart, as well. The AirPods 3 are less likely if they do arrive after dropping all of this money on other hardware.

So what about all of you? Will you be watching the event next Tuesday? Is the iPad Pro what you are most looking forward to seeing, or is it one of the smaller hardware items? What about the rumored new Mac hardware like the redesigned iMac? Are you planning to just look at all of this new hardware, or will you be buying?

Let me know what you think of this Spring Event and Apple’s rumored new hardware in the Comments section below or @iPadInsightBlog on Twitter. I would love to hear from you.
