This week’s pick is Imgur, the brand new official app for the web’s fastest growing image sharing platform and source of tons of the viral images we see around the web.

Imgur iPad app

I hadn’t spent much time with Imgur prior to seeing this new iPad app – but I’ve seen plenty of the images that originated there on social networks. I haven’t done any uploading yet, but I might share some pics of my huge Deputy Editor Dawg at some point.

This official Imgur app has quite a bare bones interface for now, but that’s fine – as the focus is on the Gallery as it should be and it’s easy to spend lots of time just exploring.

Here are a few more recent Gallery images that caught my eye:

National Language

The Rock

It’s worth noting that there are images that are not safe for work in this app, and plenty of NSFW talk in the comments as well – so bear that in mind if you’re concerned about that or have kids who may have access to the app.

Here’s an App Store link for Imgur.
