Who doesn’t like great iPad apps? At iPad Insight we definitely do. With that in mind, we offer up a quick review of an excellent iPad app, or a few great iPad apps, here each week.
Our weekly picks for Best iPad App of the Week are published here every Saturday. Check out all out picks below and you’ll soon have a collection of stellar apps for your favorite tablet.
This week’s pick is Docurama, which offers up a superb selection of documentary films and real-life stories. Here’s the short intro to it on its App Store page:
From Oscar-nominees to films straight from theaters and top film festivals, we offer the best real life stories FREE on-demand. Tired of browsing channels filled with movies that have nothing to offer? Explore Docurama and discover movies worth watching.
Maybe there are some, but I haven’t seen a comparable app in the App Store that just focuses on documentaries – and if that’s right, then all the better that Docurama is filling that gap. There’s a massive amount of low-quality movies and TV shows to watch on our iPad and bigger screens (and of course some great stuff too) – so an app that provides some top quality documentaries is very welcome.
The range of content and genres in Docurama is impressive – from award-winning titles to categories like Music Docs, War and Peace, True Crime, Back to School, Feel Good Films, Arts & Culture, Biographies, Health & Wellness, and plenty more.
This is an app that’s going to give the Apple TV at my house a workout.
Here’s an App Store link for Docurama; it’s a free app and a universal app designed to run on both iPad and iPhone.
