March Madness Live iPad app

Who doesn’t like great iPad apps? At iPad Insight we definitely do. With that in mind, we offer up a quick review of an excellent iPad app, or a few great iPad apps, here each week.

Our weekly picks for Best iPad App of the Week are published here every Saturday. Check out all out picks below and you’ll soon have a collection of stellar apps for your favorite tablet.

This week’s pick is March Madness Live, the 2015 version of the official iPad and iOS app for the madness that is the NCAA Mens basketball tournament.

For those of you scoring at home, this is the third year in a row I’m picking this app at around this time of year. Here’s the single feature that justifies the repeat picks and makes this a true must-have app for fans of college basketball:

Watch every game from the 2015 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament live on your iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch

Boom. This app could have no other features at all and that’s more than enough to make it great. March Madness is arguably the most thrilling annual sporting event anywhere – with its constant stream of underdog heroics, last second buzzer-beating clutch shots, and just great basketball from start to finish.

Having said that, the app does offer a lot more than just every tournament game live. It provides latest scores and stats, breaking tournament news and top storylines, a section full of team pages to help research your picks if you’re doing a bracket, a wealth of notifications for everything from favorite teams to upset alerts.

And of course you can make your bracket picks right within the app for the Capital One NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge.

The app is already counting down to when brackets open on Sunday, right after the selections are announced.

Here’s an App Store link for March Madness Live; it’s a free app and a universal app designed to run on iPad and iPhone.
