Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of interviewing the filmmaker behind a crowdfunded documentary project covering the history of and enduring community still dedicated to the Apple Newton platform. Noah Leon’s project is called Love Notes to Newton, and it is currently being funded through a campaign on Indiegogo, which you can find here.

Is Apple Preparing to Move On from the iPad Mini?
Jonathan Geller at BGR posted this morning that Apple will soon be phasing out the iPad Mini form factor. This comes as a little bit of a surprise to me since the Mini 4 just got a memory bump when the new iPad was released. This effectively brought the price of the device down, at least in terms of value. We have also had on again and off again rumors of a Mini Pro with a Smart Connector and Apple Pencil support over the past three months.
iPad Rumors Return- Announcement of a New iPad Pro at WWDC Looking Likely
FINALLY!! There is actually some iPad news worth posting about. After only getting one new iPad in the early Spring after rumors of as many as five new devices in the pipeline, it looks like the release of at least one new iPad Pro is imminent. The new iPad Pro 10.5″ model, which was rumored to have gone into production a few weeks ago, now seems to be slated for announcement in three weeks at WWDC.

Are Apple and Disney Perfect Dance Partners?
As iPad rumors have cooled in the wake of the release of a new device and a wait until the release of rumored devices possibly still to come, another oldie but goodie has popped back up over the last couple of days. There have been Apple and Disney merger, purchase, and partnership rumors going back several years, but they have really picked up some momentum this week.. We all know Apple has a massive $200 bilion plus pile of cash (although most of it is currently trapped overseas), and that they are starting to look for and produce their own media content, including video. Both brands are also iconic and synonymous with quality and attainable luxury, so the companies do align in certain areas, which is probably why these rumors make sense in a lot of ways.
