It’s always good to have new sources for iPad wallpapers. I discovered another nice site a little earlier today, thanks to a reader comment on one of our past wallpaper posts. It’s called iPad Wallpaper Gallery, and it’s got quite a few nice nature and cityscape walls, as well as some other categories. Here’s where you’ll find it:
If you’re looking for some great wallpaper choices for your iPad or iPhone, this is an app you may well want to take a look at. It’s called Sciphone Wallpapers and it offers over 9,000 wallpapers in a wide range of categories.
The Sciphone.net wallpapers site has been a favorite of mine for iPhone wallpapers for quite a while, and I was delighted to see their app hit the App Store recently.
If you like great nature and cityscape type photos, then this is a wallpaper site you may well want to check out. It’s an offshoot of the Talke Photography site, run by travel photographer Peter Talke, who specializes in HDR (High Dyamic Range) photography, and also runs the Places 2 Explore photography blog.
The site features 25 photos sized for use as iPad wallpapers, with plans to continue to add more content to the wallpapers section. There are many very striking images of famous structures, cities, nature scenes and more. One of my favorites is the London shot shown above.
The ability to customize the home screen background is one of the small but fun features of the iPad. I’m always on the lookout for good places to find interesting and good-looking iPad wallpapers. Today I discovered a site called iPadwallpaper.org, which has a very nice selection.
The site’s wallpapers are divided into a good range of categories – including company logos (currently almost all Apple), natural, stars and space, cities, patterns, and so on.
If you like striking photography as wallpaper material for your iPad, you’ll want to give Ian Collins’ new site a look. It currently has over 60 images sized up just right for the iPad – oh, and a site that works very nicely on the iPad as well.

I’m usually more of a fan of abstract wallpapers, but the iPad Decor blog really offers up some stunning photos as iPad wallpapers. Here’s the brief description of this Tumblr blog;
Photographic wallpapers based on travels & random outings by Jorge Quinteros. Decorate your iPad.
All wallpaper has been cropped to 1024×1024 and are scalable to both horizontal and vertical dimensions.
This is not the place to go if you’re after hundreds of walls. Rather you’ll find a small number of very striking photos for use as iPad walls. Check them out here:
The lovely folks over at Evernote have offered up ‘two snazzy options’ sized just right for the iPad. The second one has the word Evernote across the center. I prefer just the good old elephant.
What I’d like even better is if they get an update out so that their iPad app will actually launch for me. In the meantime, if you’d like to grab an Evernote wallpaper for your iPad (and they have iPhone versions as well) here’s where to go:
OK, call me superficial and shallow – but after a good while of tending to more serious matters on the brand new baby iPad, I suddenly realized I had an urgent need to ‘make it mine’.
So I grabbed the free Cool Wallpapers for iPad app, browsed around briefly, and chose this one as my first iPad wallpaper. Applied it to both home screens and lock screen.
It’s never too early to start looking for good iPad wallpapers right? I mean hell, that was one of the very first things Steve mentioned about the iPad on the day it was announced – that we can customize our home screen background. Hurrah.
Anyway, if you’re like me and you’re starting to have some occasional thoughts about walls for your iPad, you might want to give sciphone.net’s iPad Wallpapers site a look. They already do some great iPhone wallpapers and now have a dedicated site for iPad wallpapers. The walls are grouped into a broad range of categories – covering areas like animals, nature, architecture, movies and TV, fine art, fantasy, technology, abstract, and lots more.

I haven’t chosen a favorite yet, but I’ve got it bookmarked for when I wan to surf to it via the iPad. :)
