iPad Adoption in Remote Islands on the Rise

OK, I haven’t seen any actual sales charts covering iPad adoption in remote islands as yet – but I have seen a great story at MacRumors about the first iPad owner on Pitcairn Island. That owner is none other than Andrew Randall Christian, a descendant of Fletcher Christian (the hero of The Mutiny on the Bounty)

Talk about your magical, revolutionary iPad tales. This one’s got it all. One of the most remote locations in the world, home to a massive population of around 60 people, and now one happy iPad owner.

I bet if they remade Tom Hanks’ ‘Castaway’ movie today, they’d replace that dopey volleyball with an iPad. He could call it Steve. Smile
