New iPad Apps: Friendly Facebook Browser

Friendly Facebook Browser for iPad

I’m not the world’s biggest Facebook fan, not by a long stretch – but I have found myself using it a little more often lately – so I was interested to hear about the new Friendly Facebook Browser app for the iPad today.

Since Facebook has not yet brought out an iPad specific app, there does seem to be room for a good alternative to the iPhone or browser versions of FB itself – though this one may have a tough time at its current $4.99 price.

Here’s more detail on the app, via its App Store page:

Read and comment your newsfeed
– Read or write a Facebook messages
– Update your status
– View your photos, and friend photos full screen
– View and respond to events
– Keep up with your Facebook notifications

A friendly Facebook browser:

– Optimized for touch, no need to pinch & zoom
– Full screen experience newsfeed and photo albums

I’ve been giving the app a little look today and it is very nice to use.  Then again, I’m not a frequent enough flyer on Facebook to be a great judge of apps for the service.  So … for a lot more good information on how this app stacks up, I highly recommend that you check out Louis Gray’s review of it (which is how I spotted it in the first place).  Give it a read here:

And you can find Friendly Facebook Browser in the App Store now, priced at $4.99.
