Multitasking Previews iOS 7

There are a number of new things in the latest iOS 7 beta – beta 4 – that was released on Monday. Most of them are little touches, adjustments and enhancements, as is to be expected as we move through the betas and towards the final release this fall.

One new item that looks quite good is the way multitasking previews are handled. The app previews are now live, showing where you left off in an app, rather than just static images. So, for instance, in my screenshot above you can see that Google Maps is showing the route to a local animal shelter that I just searched for; and Flipboard is showing the iPad Art magazine section I just flipped to.

This isn’t working perfectly with all my installed apps just yet, but the majority are working well with this new feature.

The good people at iClarified have an excellent and extensive listing of everything that’s new in iOS 7 beta 4 – it’s well worth a look if you’re running the latest beta or even just trying to keep up with the betas and iOS 7 features generally.
