App Icons in Latest Beta Confirm Camera for iPad 2

Apple’s developer release of iOS 4.3 Beta 2 has provided more visual evidence confirming that the next iPad will carry a front facing camera as well as the Apple Camera App and Photo Booth App. The above image (homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png) was found in the latest beta and is used by iOS to show a preview of your wallpaper selection.

That’s a slice from a recent report at MacRumors, providing some pretty solid evidence that – just as the general consensus has been almost ever since the iPad launched – there will be at least one camera in iPad 2.

The three app icons highlighted above are for FaceTime (video chat), the standard iOS Camera app, and PhotoBooth (funny snapshots and effects app that we know and love from the Mac desktop).
