7 Little Words is a simple and simply addictive word game for the iPad and iPhone. Here’s a slice of its App Store intro:
If you enjoy crossword puzzles, word finds, and anagram games, you’re going to love 7 Little Words!
Each bite-size puzzle consists of 7 clues, 7 mystery words, and 20 letter groups. Find the mystery words by deciphering the clues and combining the letter groups.
7 Little Words is FUN, CHALLENGING, and EASY TO LEARN. We guarantee you’ve never played anything like it before.
I’m a big fan of word games and this one has become a real favorite for me. In fact it’s my latest addiction on the iPad. I just about can’t go a day without playing it.
The game’s instructions couldn’t be simpler:
– Find the 7 words to match the 7 clues
– Find the 7 words in any order
– There’s no penalty for a wrong guess
– There is no time limit
The app’s UI is subdued, clean and basic too – and it’s perfect for just focusing on the letter groups and words.
Although the game is easy to understand and play, it’s also quite challenging. If you get stuck on a particular word or words there is a Get Hints feature that can help you out by providing the first letter or first tile of a word. You get a number of free uses of the feature and you can also pay for more via In-App purchase. I’ve used the free hints only very rarely and haven’t bought any extras thus far.
There’s a new free puzzle on offer each day and one free pack of 50 puzzles. If you want more, which I have found I absolutely do, there are over 40 additional 50-puzzle packs available via In-App purchase.
This is one of those games that is big fun to play for any time period – whether it’s a filler for a quick couple minutes during a TV commercial break or a nice long session to exercise your brain a little.
I’ve chosen not to do Highlights and Lowlights sections in this review because this game is all highlights in my book. There are no lowlights and my only couple wish list items would be an option to use a timed mode and maybe a little bit of 7 Little Words with friends – but honestly the game is great just as is.
7 Little Words his game was an instant favorite for me, and I know it will be an enduring one too. I love it so much I’ve even tried out the Spanish version, 7 Palabritas. Oh, and my daughter loves this game too which is always a big bonus.
If you enjoy word games, 7 Little Words is a must-have iPad game. I’m betting you’re addicted to it within minutes.
