iPad Purchased Not on This iPad

It looks like the iOS 6.1 update has fixed the longstanding problem with the App Store Purchased section not loading. As I posted about recently this issue was affecting numerous users and was a known issue that Apple’s engineering team has been working on.

After the iOS 6.1 update I can once again load the Purchased section in the App Store on my iPad 3 and iPad mini. I can get both tabs of the section to load too – the All tab and ‘Not on This iPad’.

It still takes quite a while to load each page (a minute or more) and sometimes switching between tabs will make the App Store app crash back to the home screen – but most of the time it is working OK for me.

For those of you who were seeing this problem before, what are your results when trying this after the iOS 6.1 update?

  1. This is all good news. But I’m still having a problem with my laptop in that when I activate iTunes in my computer, which works fine, as soon as I hit the “store” button, iTunes crashes and shuts down. Since the update to iTunes 11, or whatever the newest version is, I haven’t been able to go to the iTunes store on my computer. Anyone have this similar situation, or have a solution, keeping in mind that I’m not completely computer literate, so don’t throw code at me. :)

  2. I never had the problem with the iPad, but have always experienced the same issue on two separate 4th gen iPod Touch’s.

    iOS 6.1 does to appear to have fixed it.

  3. No, it’s still not working for me. I find it very frustrating. I often purchase apps that go on sale or free and delete them until I need them or until they are updated with better functionality or new features. A bit of a vulture that way. I would like to be able to browse back through them again.

  4. I go my iPad for Christmas. It worked great up until just this last weekend. It shows 3 app updates but I cant get to the site to update them. After reading this article I checked the iTunes store and it can’t get there either. Now to make matters worse It wont get to my emails. We have 4 other apple devices here, and none have this problem. I hope they fix it soon.
