A new iPad App Store featured section this week is highlighting iPad apps for business.
The new section is called @Work Apps for Business and it’s got quite a strong looking set of business apps covering a range of sub-sections from Business Intelligence to Mobile IT. It’s described as …
… a curated selection of very useful and popular apps embraced by businesses large and small
Apple’s three iWork suite apps (Keynote, Numbers, and Pages) are front and center in the Documents & Files section, alongside QuickOffice Pro HD, Documents to Go Office Suite, and others.
Some other notable apps that caught my eye in the selection include Dropbox, Box.net, and Air Sharing HD in the File Access section; OmniFocus, Evernote, and Dragon Dictation in the Notes & Tasks section; and LogMeIn Ignition in the Mobile IT section.
Other sections include Capturing Ideas, Business Intelligence, Business Processes, and News & Research.
This featured section looks like a very useful reference for those looking for iPad apps for their business – and the selection of apps in it is a great rebuff for those who say the iPad is only about consumption and not real work.
It looks like one of the featured sections that will only be featured temporarily (usually just a week or two) so if you’re on the lookout for iPad business apps now is a good time to check it out. You’ll find it in the main Featured area of the App Store.
