During this week of WWDC 2012 the winners of the 2012 Apple Design Awards have been announced. Two of the iPad apps amongst the winners look like very good apps for kids.

Little Star is an award winner in the Student category. It looks like a charming storybook for younger children.

Bobo Explores Light is a winner in the iPad category. This one looks good for older kids as well and seems like tons of educational fun.

I’ve installed both apps and I’m looking forward to trying  them out when my daughter returns from ‘vacation’ at her grandparents’ house next week.
