Podcasts iPad app

Apple’s own Podcasts app for iPad (and iOS) got its first update last night – to Version 1.0.1. Here’s the full change list for this update:

Podcasts 1.0.1 provides a number of improvements, including:
• Significant improvements to performance and stability
• Podcasts in your library now show the number of unplayed episodes
• Top Stations now show the podcast title if artwork is missing
• Playback speed is now remembered when playing the next episode
• Fix for a problem where the Subscribe button is inactive
• Resolution of an issue where Top Stations artwork may not appear

This app drew a fair amount of criticism for some of its quirks and flaws after its initial release – so it’s good to see it get a pretty quick update addressing some of these.

I’ve only just installed the update and haven’t yet had a chance to spend much time with it. Have any of you spent quality time with the updated Podcasts app yet? If so, please let us know what you think in the comments.
