Well that didn’t take long. Auburn took this season’s college football national championship late-ish last night, and this morning we’ve got a shiny new iPad app from ESPN to commemorate it. It’s called ESPN Presents: BCS Champs. Here’s its App Store info:
The only commemorative a die-hard Auburn fan will ever need. Tons of exclusive video, hundreds of photos and expert analysis.
HOURS OF EXCLUSIVE ESPN VIDEO, INCLUDING:
– A replay of the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game (available Jan. 11).
– The extended SportsCenter highlight from the BCS title game.
– Reaction from players and analysis from coaches Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.
– Cameron Newton’s Heisman ceremony.
– In-depth features on Newton, Nick Fairley, Michael Dyer and Coach Chizik.
HUNDREDS OF PHOTOGRAPHS:
– Dozens of images from the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game
– Photo galleries from every game of the season.PLUS:
Mel Kiper Jr’s pro prospect analysis, exclusive look-backs at the Tigers’ championship season, and our BCS trophy quiz!
The app looks quite good. Even though I’m not an Auburn fan I may well try it out just to see what sort of job ESPN has done on this one.
Clearly, this is something that they’ve been laying the groundwork for for some time, and it’s cool to see that they chose to do an iPad app for this. If you’re an iPad-owning Auburn fan I imagine this is a no-brainer. Oh, and also if you fit that description – congratulations – good win in a good title game.
You can find ESPN Presents: BCS Champs in the App Store now, priced at $4.99.
