Dig iPad app

Digg for iPad and iOS has been updated this week – to Version 5.1.

The top-billed addition in this update is a new Popular section – which is said to ‘deliver the best articles from your subscriptions’. Here are the remaining change list items:

◆ Added the option to view only unread items
◆ Improved scrolling performance
◆ You can now delete feeds and folders
◆ Added Readability support

I’ve kept the Digg app installed ion my iPad mini over recent months, just to see how it develops as an RSS reader sort of app. For me, it still has a long way to go. I can’t recall exactly what its sync setup is – but it certainly doesn’t appear to sync with Feedly. And since Feedly is now my most-used app fo RSS that’s a big deal.

I took a quick look at the new Popular section this morning, and didn’t find it very impressive. I much prefer the ‘Must Read’ section that Feedly serves up.

Are any of you using Digg as your Google Reader replacement? If so, what do you think of it?
