Dolphin Browser HD for iPad, the excellent alternative browser for the iPad, has been updated again today, to Version 3.0. This update adds polish to some of the unique features of Dolphin Browser HD – namely its webzine pages and its gestures that are used to access frequently visited sites.

Gestures are one of my favorite features of this app – it’s just incredibly cool to doodle an I and then watch as it loads iPad Insight, or an a to pull up the apple.com site. This update makes them even easier to use.

Here’s the full change list for Version 3.0:

1. Brand new Gesture interface and process
2. Cleaner and simplified Webzine style
3. Easier process for adding new Webzine columns
4. Improved overall performance and stability
5. Fixed page loading issues for easier browsing
6. Fixed crash bugs on iOS 5
7. Fixed keyboard popup issue that affected certain websites

Dolphin Browser HD is my favorite alternative browser for the iPad. It was a Best Free iPad App of the Week pick in October of last year and was also included in our list of Best iPad Apps of 2011.

Here’s an App Store link for Dolphin Browser HD; it’s still a free app.
