Esquire is the latest well-known magazine title to bring out an iPad edition. The mens magazine’s first iPad issue hit the App Store just a few days back.
The first issue of Esquire for the iPad has got a few nice little touches, including a short video welcome from the actor Javier Bardem, and a cool interactive infographic that shows the stages of the World Trade Center rebuilding project.
I’ve had a quick look at the app, and it seems fairly well executed. It’s not a magazine I’ve ever followed much in its print form, so I’ve only browsed lightly through its initial issue’s contents. If you’re into this type of mens mag the range of content seems pretty good.
You can find Esquire for iPad in the App Store now, priced at $4.99. There are no subscription options as yet of course, as Apple has still not worked out an agreement with publishers as to how this can be implemented in the App Store.
