Feedly iPad Updated: Night Theme & ‘Speed Reading’

Feedly iPad app

The Feedly RSS reader app for iPad was updated over last weekend, to Version 18.0.5. The headline new feature is what the developers are calling speed reading. This is implemented via the ability to move between individual articles with just a quick tap on the right-hand edge of the page.

This is a nice new feature, though I have to say I find the swipe gesture in the Android version of the app even quicker / smoother to use to move between articles.

Another notable new feature in this update is the addition of a night theme for those who prefer a dark background when reading.

Here’s the full change list for this latest update to Feedly for ipad:

Spotlight feature:
* Speed reading
Other new features:
* New iPad design
* New night theme
* Faster image processing
* New mark all as read card with reading stats.
* Crash fixes

Feedly is one of the very best RSS reader apps for the iPad – an app that has filled in very nicely after the demise of Google Reader last year.

Here’s an App Store link for Feedly; it’s a free app and a universal app designed for both the iPad and iPhone.
