Flipboard for iPad

Flipboard, the standard-setting iPad news magazine, has been updated today, to Version 1.8.

The headline new feature is Cover Stories for iPad, which are described like so:

personalized cover stories, bringing some of the day’s most interesting news, photos and updates being shared with you.

I’m an instant fan of this new feature, and I liked the first selection of cover stories I saw this morning. Here’s the remainder of the change list for this latest update:

★ A third page of tiles for all your favorite content.
★ New full-screen images and typography make for even more beautiful layouts.
★ Pick topics of interest when first using Flipboard, instantly setting up your Flipboard with great stuff to read.
★ International Content Guides with hundreds of recommendations for readers in the UK and Ireland, Canada, Australia, France, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Tap on the red ribbon to choose your Content Guide Edition.

Flipboard has been the flagship iPad app of its kind since the day it launched, it’s great to see the developers still continually improving it.

Here’s an App Store link for Flipboard; it’s still a free app.
