Flipboard has been updated again today – to Version 1.9.3. This update adds connections to Google+ and YouTube as its headline new features.

Here’s the short change list for the update:

★ Connect Flipboard to Google+ to enjoy the activity in your stream and circles in the form of a beautiful magazine.
★ Log in to YouTube to flip through videos being uploaded and shared by the channels you follow.
★ Fully localized editions for Germany, Italy, Korea, Netherlands and Spain—including hundreds of regional recommendations in the Content Guide.

If you add your Google+ account you can not only browse through its streams but comment on, reshare and +1 posts from within Flipboard. In the continuing absence of a Google+ app for iPad this may become a favorite way to interact with Google+ on the iPad for many users.

I spend a good amount of time with Google+ each day – so I’m happy to see this support added to Flipboard and have moved Google+ onto my front page in Flipboard.

Here’s an App Store link for Flipboard; it’s a free app.
