Friended – the first native Facebook app for the iPad – has been updated this week, to Version 1.2. This is a pretty big update, despite the .x version number, with a number of good new features added. Here’s the full list of what’s new:
-Send messages!
-Greatly improved chat updating/refreshing
-Places check ins
-View, RSVP and create Events/Birthdays
-Pinch and zoom on Photos
-View and add tags to Photos
-Choose/Add album to upload pictures
-Deleting Posts
-Liking comments
-View who likes comments
-In-line, tappable links
-View "People You Might Know"
-Edit Font Size, Facebook Account Settings and Privacy Settings
-Misc bug fixes/optimizations
I updated the app last night and though I haven’t had a chance to try out all the new features yet, the ones I did look good and work well. Friended has been my favorite Facebook app on the iPad for some time now, and recently I’ve found I visit Facebook a lot more often, every day even – just because it’s easy and pleasant to do via the Friended app. That’s saying a lot for the app, because I’ve never been a big Facebook user.
Here’s an App Store link for Friended; it’s priced at $0.99.
