Get in the Game is a new app that offers mobile sports training on the iPad (and iPhone) – with the coaching done by a large number of past and present superstars from a wide range of sports. The coaches in the app include huge names like these:

ALEX RODRIGUEZ – Hitting Coach
ALEXI LALAS – Defensive Soccer Coach
ANDY RODDICK – Tennis Coach
BARRY SANDERS – Running Backs Coach
BILL PARCELLS – Football Coach
JENNIE FINCH – Softball Coach
JERRY RICE – Wide Receivers Coach
JOE MONTANA – Quarterbacks Coach
KRISTI YAMAGUCHI – Figure Skating Coach
MIKE VICK – Speed and Agility Conditioning
RONNIE LOTT – Defensive Backs Coach
ROY JONES JR. – Boxing Coach

And lots more.

You can check out video profiles of each coach for free – it’s a shame you have to wait on downloads for these, but then again the majority of the coaches are household names.

In the main Coaches section you can view a short Intro style for each coach for free, and then download the actual coaching videos (around 25 for each) for $9.99 per coach.

For those of us who are ‘armchair athletes’ at best, this app will likely not have great appeal – but if you’re fortunate to have real talent in your favorite sports or sports (or have child who does), this looks like a great way to soak up some knowledge from some of the greatest figures in sports.

Here’s an App Store link for Get in the Game; it’s a free app with In-App purchase options as mentioned above.

  1. Unfortunate for me, I spent over a hundred dollars for some of the videos and I can no longer access them. No customer service at all. They have a website with one shot to download don’t waste your time or money. My download hit a glitch and now I’m out the money.
