izik for iPad, a free visual search app that’s optimized for the iPad’s multi-touch interface, has been updated this week – to Version 1.4.

The one notable change provided in this update is a settings preference for a Strict Safe Search mode:

With strict search mode adult/explicit content will be removed from your search content. This will be defaulted to on.

The only other noted addition for this update is unspecified bug fixes.

izik was a recent pick here for Best Free iPad of the Week. I think it’s a very nice, fun search alternative on the iPad. It’s good to see the app adding this safe search feature.
