Keynote iPad App Updated – New Transitions & Builds

Keynote iPad app

The Keynote iPad app was updated yesterday, to Version 2.0.1. Keynote is part of the iWork suite for iOS and is a superb app for creating and working with presentations. I think it’s one of the very best iPad apps in any category and selected it as one of our Best iPad Apps of 2012.

This update adds a set of new transitions and builds for Keynote slides and objects on slides:

• New transitions including Blinds, Color Planes, Confetti, Fall, Perspective, Pivot, and Swoosh
• New builds including Blinds, Fly in, Fly out, Orbital, Pivot, Scale Big, and Swoosh
• Stability improvements and bug fixes

I’ve been playing with these a little and I especially like the new Color Planes and Confetti transitions. Here’s my best effort at grabbing a screenshot of the Color Planes transition:

The other two iOS iWork apps – Numbers and Pages – also got updates yesterday, with just stability improvements and big fixes listed in the change list.
