Khan Academy iPad app

The excellent Khan Academy app for iPad and iPhone has been updated this week, to Version 1.3.2. Khan Academy is a fantastic and free educational app featuring a library of over 2,500 video tutorials across a broad range of subjects.

One of the big additions in this update is the ability to download entire categories. Here’s the full change list for this new version:

– Search everything: Pull to search from *anywhere* to find just the right video (and not have to remember whether the one on basketball muscles is under “LeBron Asks” or “Human biology”).
– Download videos to your phone: Now, with a bit of preparation, you can watch a video on “Normal Force in an Elevator” *while in an elevator*. Whoa.
– Download entire categories: Use a not-so-secret “long press” on any topic to download all its videos. What else are you using your 64GB of space for, if not 500+ videos on art history?
– We fixed a couple awkward crashes. Big thanks to our fearless users who submit bug reports :)

This app was a past pick for Best Free iPad App of the Week and was included in our list of the Best iPad Apps of 2012. It’s always good to see it updated with even more good features.
