Another day, another slew of iPad apps developed by retired NFL quarterbacks who’ve won multiple MVP awards. Oh, hold on – I’m thinking of flatulence and soundboard apps. This one is a little more unique.
Kurt Warner’s Football 101 Lite for Kids is the first of a series of apps for the iPad and iPhone that the former two-time MVP and his wife are backing. Here’s more detail:
Spearheaded by former NFL and two-time MVP Kurt Warner and his wife, Brenda, and produced by an award-winning team of multimedia professionals, Football 101 takes young pigskin enthusiasts on a fun-filled tour through the world of football!
In this Lite version, Kurt and his animated football friend, Qubee, explain how football is scored with cool video
– on screen animations
– interactive examples
– sample challenges.
In the full version, the two pals go on to explain players’ positions, features on the field, and other football fundamentals in an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Over 100 Lightning Round questions complete the package and kids can keep track of correct responses on personal scoreboards. Although designed for kids 10 and younger, Kurt and Qubee are sure to help lots of grownups understand the game a bit better too!
Good stuff. Warner’s name alone should make this a good draw for youngsters getting into football, and their parents.
