NBA Game Time 2012-13 is this year’s version of the NBA’s official app for the iPad. The NBA season just tipped off last week and it looks like another thrilling season is in store – and this app offers a great way to keep up with the league even if you don’t manage to catch all the best games on TV.
The app is said to be designed ‘from the ground up’ for the iPad and includes these notable features:
•NEW! Completely redesigned app experience with a focus on an even better game experience than previously.
•NEW! Excitement Alerts – Be notified when a game gets exciting at crunch time. (Chosen by game or team.)
•NEW! Customizable Threshold Alerts – Be notified when a player or team you are interested in passes a threshold in a specific game.
•NEW! Twitter streams for each game – follow the social interaction of the game as it happens!
•NEW! Improved video quality for our Video on Demand
•Live team and player stats
•In-progress video highlights from around the league
Full game video recaps
•Unique game visualizations featuring real-time shot charts and more
•League statistics and schedule information
•Live Ticker: the latest NBA news headlines and stories.
•Performance Info – See real-time shooting percentages and performance by zones on the court, know each team’s stat leaders, box scores, and quarterly play-by-play action.
• Live Court View – Know who’s on court at every moment and see substitutions happen live. Plus, see individual shooting with the live shot chart.
•Standings – Keep up to date on league standings for conference, division and the whole NBA.
•Access to Live NBA regular season games through your NBA League Pass (Blackout restrictions apply) Broadband subscription – simply click setting Dashobard, Go to Settings/Info, click League Pass and enter your NBA League Pass Broadband Screen name and password.
I’ve always enjoyed NBA Game Time on the iPad and have been trying out this latest version a little over the weekend. It’s already full of some great content and highlights from the young season, including a poster dunk from the Hawks’ Jeff Teague. The app looks pretty good on the iPad mini too.
Here’s an App Store link for NBA Game Time for iPad 2012-13; it’s a free app.
Any big NBA fans here? If so, what do you think of NBA Game Time for iPad?
