Oooo-liv-i-a! If you have young kids who watch Nickelodeon you may well have had a chance to catch an episode or two of ‘Olivia’ with them. It’s a hit in our household, where all of us enjoy the catchy theme song, the charming animation, and the funny storylines.

This week Olivia has come to the iPad, with the new Olivia Acts Out interactive eBook. Here’s a slice of the App Store description for it:

The adventures of Olivia zoom to life on the iPad! A brand new story based on the top-ranked TV show character and star of the best-selling Olivia book series will “multi-touch” your heart. With over 30 interactive animations, engaging effects and delightful 3D animation, this new series of eBook can be enjoyed by preschoolers, early readers and the young of every age.
Polin8 was founded to bring the joy of reading with children to the digital era. We’ve built a multi-sensory eBook platform with animation, narration and touch to make reading both fun and educational.

Features:
— A brand new Olivia story that’s funny and entertaining
— More than 30 interactive animations
— Fun sound effects
— All pages are professionally narrated
— Simple and intuitive user interface

As soon as I saw the promo email for this one, I downloaded it straight away, as Olivia is a real favorite for my daughter, and for my wife and I. I’ve only taken a quick peek at it so far, as I want to really check it out with my daughter later on – but I can tell you it looks (and sounds) quite good.

The app is currently priced at $3.99 – as an ‘Introductory Week Promotional Pricing’ from now until June 10. Here’s an App Store link for Olivia Acts Out for iPad; if you’ve got Olivia fans at home, you may well want to check this one out.
