Remarks is a promising and versatile looking new iPad app that’s described like so by its developers:

an amazing note-taking, free-hand drawing and PDF annotating app with polished interface and unique features.

Remarks is the latest iPad app from Readdle, makers of the excellent PDF Expert and ReaddleDocs apps – so it comes with quite a good pedigree. Here are a few of its notable abilities:

★ Make notes
Write everything you think is important on a meeting, lecture or presentation.
★ Sketch new ideas
Draw the plan to take over the world. Maybe even two, just in case.
★ Type in text notes
Prefer typing text to handwriting? We have a tool for that!
have come across.
★ Annotate PDFs
Mark important things in books, journals or documents that you need to review.
★ Draw with your finger
Use it to make remarks in scanned books or simply draw something beautiful.
★ Co-edit notes with friends
You can edit notes made by any other Remarks user and vice versa.

It doesn’t yet have Dropbox or iCloud storage support, but that is set to be added in an upcoming update.

Here’s an App Store link for Remarks; it’s priced at $4.99.
