Squrl – the superb ‘social. watch-later’ video service – has updated its iOS app again this week, to Version 1.9.

One of the most notable new features is Facebook integration – with the ability to see collections of your friends’ Facebook video postings and with Squrl likes now also being Facebook likes. Here’s the full change list for the 1.9 update:

✔ Facebook collection of your friends video postings
✔ For those connected to Facebook, "Likes" are now also a Facebook "Like"
✔ Invite friends to Squrl under settings
✔ Pinch gestures added to the Squrl video player
✔ New notifications in messages, you are notified when people you are following have created or updated their galleries and collections
✔ Reorder videos in collections – Edit + Press and hold
✔ Reply to your messages
✔ Twitter collection of videos from your stream
✔ Subscribe to your favorite ABC.com shows in Discover
✔ UI enhancements and Many bug fixes

I did a review of Squrl back in April and found it a hugely impressive app. It’s now a firm favorite of mine on the iPad and I often spend large chunks of an evening watching content from Squrl rather than TV. It’s great to see the developers continuing to improve this already excellent app.

Here’s an App Store link for Squrl; it’s a free app and a universal app designed for both iPad and iPhone.
