TED, the TED Talks app for the iPad and iPhone, has been updated recently, to Version 1.7.
The big new feature in this update is support for the new iPad’s retina display.
If you haven’t yet discovered TED talks then you really need to soon – they’re described as riveting talks by remarkable people and they absolutely live up to that billing. The last one I watched was given by Taylor Wilson, who built a working nuclear fusion reactor when he was 14!
Here’s a little more from its App Store page:
TED’s official app presents talks from some of the world’s most fascinating people: education radicals, tech geniuses, medical mavericks, business gurus and music legends. Find more than 1,100 TEDTalk videos (with more added each week) on the official TED app — now for both iPad and iPhone.
The iPad app is great and offers AirPlay support so you can stream its great content to your big TV screen too. It’s good to see it adding retina support for the new iPad.
Here’s an App Store link for TED; it’s a free app.
