Well here’s one place where the Cleveland Browns have got a leg up on the Steelers and the Ravens – they’ve got an official team iPad app. It’s called Cleveland Browns Official iPad App, and here’s its App Store intro:
The Cleveland Browns Official iPad App includes all the great content you’ve come to enjoy from ClevelandBrowns.com and the Browns Official Mobile App, but is delivered in dynamic fashion!
The Browns Official iPad App is free to dowloaded and includes exciting features such as:
– Live and archived video press conferences
– Live and archived broadcasts of Cleveland Browns Daily, Driven by Liberty Ford, as well as all PNC Bank Browns Radio Network broadcasts
– All news direct from ClevelandBrowns.com, including news and blogs
– Game Center with live game stats and blog, play-by-play and social chat tools
I think this is the first official iPad app for an NFL team. It’s certainly the first one I’ve seen. I took a very quick look at the app this morning. It’s very basic and looks like it was put together very quickly. It’s not terrible, but it looks like a minimal effort type affair.
Hopefully some other NFL teams will have a crack at producing iPad apps and make a better effort. I think these could prove quite popular with fans if they were done well. Jerry Jones – show us what you can do with a real big screen. What do you all think? Would you like to see a dedicated app for your favorite NFL team?
If you’re a Browns fan, here’s an App Store link for Cleveland Browns Official iPad App; it’s a free app.
