The Washington Post for iPad has been updated this week, to Version 1.3. The two major changes in this update are as follows:

— Three new sections have been added: Food, Health & Science, and Technology. Apparently these sections were added due to popular demand by readers. Good stuff, and always good to see quality iPad titles adding more good content. The Technology section looks good and has some good articles in today’s edition.

— The update has also added a Search capability to the app. It searches across the app itself and also the washingtonpost.com online site. That a great new feature and one that far too few iPad newspapers have implemented. There are also a bug fix and a performance issue improvement in the 1.3 update.

Here’s an App Store link for The Washington Post for iPad; it’s currently a free app.
