Rapidstats Football is an app that is built for keeping football team stats on the iPad.  It is said to be ‘field tested’ and its developers believe the iPad is the perfect device for keeping up with team stats.

Here are some of the app’s features:

-simply hold down to edit games and players names
-virtually unlimited number of games and players
-quick tap to add players and games
-very quick interface
-tap to add stats, swipe to subtract for stats
-quick editor for adding large yardages
-email single game stats or all game stats with a single click

And a little more from its description page:

This software is perfect for getting accurate football stats on the fly. We have been looking for a solution for years to remove the clutter of paper and clipboards. Laptops for stats are not very practical especially for the sideline of a football game. The ipad is just amazing for keeping stats for football.

I think this definitely sounds like a good idea for tech-savvy football coaches – as long as they’re not expecting any celebratory Gatorade showers while using this app – or even for football parents helping out coaches, or just tracking stats for their own purposes.

Anyone want to bet on who’s the first NCCAA or NFL coach to be spotted with an iPad?  I also imagine we may see this become a family of iPad apps – Rapidstats Baseball, Basketball and so on.

You can find Rapidstats Football in the App Store now, priced at $4.99.

  2. When I go to the App Store to find this app, it tells me it is not currently available in the U.S. Store. I am relatively new to the iPad world, is this still an app I can retrieve??
