Hurrah. The first episode of Walking Dead: The Game will be hitting the iPad App Store tomorrow, July 26.
Telltale Games announced the release date for this first episode, titled ‘The Walking Dead – A New Day’ – and the price of the episode will be $4.99. Here’s the full picture on pricing for this and future episodes of the game:
Once you’ve purchased this episode for $4.99 USD, you can then opt to purchase future episodes individually for $4.99 from within the application, OR you can pre-purchase the rest of the series as a Multi-Pack [Episode 2-5 Bundle] for $14.99, saving you a total of 25% off the cost of buying episodes 2-5 individually.
And here’s a little detail on the game itself:
We’ve spent a great deal of time carefully integrating our new interface design to create an even more intuitive experience with the touch screen as you explore a world ravaged by the undead based on the Eisner Award-winning comics from Robert Kirkman and Skybound Entertainment. You’ll have full character control of Lee Everett as investigation points, actions, dialogue and decision making flows onscreen and is seamlessly integrated with the environments.
It’s also worth mentioning that this will be a universal app, designed for both iPad and iPhone, and will run on the following iOS devices: iPad 2, the new iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and 4th Generation iPods and above.
I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead TV series – I’ve watched and re-watched every episode and can’t wait for the start of the new season this fall. So needless to say I’ll be giving this game a look as soon as it hits the App Store.
Do we have many Walking Dead fans here? Will you be checking out the iPad game once it hits the App Store?
