Wimbledon 2010 app on iPad

Wimbledon is heating up as it heads into its second week, and if you’re keen to follow the tournament on your iPad you may want to take a look at the official Wimbledon 2010 app.

The app provides live scoring updates, match results, and the schedule of play.  It also offers news from the tournament and video highlights.

It’s actually an iPhone app that has not been customized for the iPad – so you have to choose to run it at the small 1X size or pixel-doubled 2X mode, but for the type of app that this is, that’s really not too bad.

There’s also a section this year that shows off Twitter messages about the tournament, and features tweets from some of the leading players (including Andy Roddick and the Williams sisters).

You can find Wimbledon 2010 in the App Store now, and it’s a free app.
