Today’s featured iPad painting is titled ‘Insouciance’. It was created by Flickr member nini_nini using the Zen Brush app.
It reminds me of long ago black and white movie star actresses, someone like Bette Davis. Though I’ve never actually watched one of the movies she starred in, this portrait and the title word seem to evoke her or some of her contemporaries.
Seeing this iPad painting was also a great reason to look up the word insouciance and improve my vocabulary a little today. In case you’re wondering, here’s what the Webster dictionary has for it:
a relaxed and calm state : a feeling of not worrying about anything – lighthearted unconcern : nonchalance
