Games for Kids is Featured Section in the iPad App Store this Week

One of this week’s new featured sections in the iPad App Store is ‘Games for Kids’. It looks like a pretty good starting point or idea-generator if you or your kids are looking for more iPad games to keep them entertained.

It’s divided into three sub-sections as follows:

Pure Games: Includes the excellent Cut the Rope, a version of Angry Birds of course, Jenga HD, Flight Control HD and lots more.

Fun Learning: This one includes a lot of math-focused games, others that help with writing skills, and Great Migrations HD – one of the excellent NatGeo Kids series of apps.

Creativity: Another fairly eclectic mix that contains Pocket Frogs, Rocket Math, Touch Physics HD and the recently released Scribblenauts Remix.

I’ve got an 8 year old daughter so featured sections like this one are always helpful in finding games she may not have tried out yet.

To check it out, just look for it in the top area of the Featured tab in the iPad App Store.
