Good news for fans of Flight Control HD on the iPad. The game’s publishers are planning an update to add online multiplayer via Game Center. Even better news: the update is expected to come out when iOS 4.2 launches – which is any day now we hope and expect.
Here’s more detail, straight from the Firemint website:
To celebrate the arrival of Game Center on iPad with the upcoming iOS4.2 update, we will update Flight Control HD with online multiplayer via Game Center in the most significant update since its release!
You’ll be able to invite a friend with Flight Control HD to play one of the 5 original size maps online, or choose to be automatically matched to a random player anywhere in the world. Of course you can still play via WiFi or Bluetooth as well (with another player on iPad, iPhone or iPod touch). Play with a friend on one iPad, either collaboratively to land as many planes together as you can, or compete in iPad-exclusive “versus” mode! Like to drop in and out of a game whenever you have a spare moment? You’ll also appreciate multitasking support, for even faster “quick save and resume”.
You can find Flight Control HD in the App Store now, priced at $4.99.
