iOS 4.3 Beta Released for Developers

iOS43Beta

iOS 4.3 beta and iOS 4.3 SDK beta are now available to iOS Developer Program members. Start adding the new capabilities of this beta release to your apps including the ability to stream video to Apple TV using AirPlay, iAd full screen banners, and HTTP Live Streaming statistics.

That’s from an email Apple sent out to iOS developers earlier today. So hopefully we’ll see lots more iPad apps offering AirPlay video support in coming months.

A few things to keep in mind if you’re looking to try out this latest beta:

— It’s likely pretty pointless unless you are a developer and want to test AirPlay video support.

— It is noted by Apple as pre-release software that is for development purpose only, and it is the first of the 4.3 betas.

— If that’s not enough reason to be very cautious, you should also know that once you install this 4.3 beta you cannot restore back down to an earlier version of iOS. You can only update to a newer beta when released or the final 4.3 software – which may be quite a ways away from being released.
