iPad App Development Projects on the Rise

Flurry, which tracks what platforms developers are working on, has found the number of new projects being developed for the iPad has nearly doubled since the April launch. While developer interest was already strong in the April-May timeframe when the hardware debuted, it increased 95 percent in June and July.

Good to see that the mobile developer community seems to have huge – and rapidly growing – enthusiasm for the iPad.  I’m seeing this trend in the App Store of late, with Featured sections boasting fresh content more often than they used to.  I think it’s one that will continue as well.

  1. Could it be that most of the ipad app projects are actually iphone apps converted and submitted as iPad applications (or with slight changes to the binaries)?
