According to New York Times writer Jeremy W. Peters the highly-anticipated iPad-only newspaper title from News Corp – The Daily – will launch next Wednesday, February 2, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Peters also says that Eddy Cue, Apple’s VP of Internet Services, will be there for the announcement. Here’s what Fast Company has to say about Cue’s role at Apple:

If Peters’ information is accurate then hopefully we’ll hear about a new subscription model for not just The Daily, but for all newspaper and magazine titles on the iPad. About time too.
This is the second time we’ve seen rumors of a specific date for The Daily’s launch – here’s hoping this one proves true.
