iPad To Launch in 9 More Countries on May 28

The iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. on Friday, May 28

Good stuff – nine more countries now have just over three weeks to wait for the iPad to be available.  And pre-orders for both the WiFi and 3G models begin next Monday, May 10th.

Apple also announced today that the iPad will be launched in July in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore.

Apple Insider is also reporting some international pricing for the iPad:

Wi-Fi-only iPad:
16GB – €479 Europe, £429 U.K., $549 Canadian, $629 Australian
32GB – €579 Europe, £499 U.K., $649 Canadian, $759 Australian
64GB – €679 Europe, £599 U.K., $749 Canadian, $879 Australian

Wi-Fi + 3G iPad
16GB – €579 Europe, £529 U.K., $679 Canadian, $799 Australian
32GB – €679 Europe, £599 U.K., $779 Canadian, $928 Australian
64GB – €779 Europe, £699 U.K., $879 Canadian, $1,049 Australian

  1. I bought an iPad 64gb 3G last weekend in Vermont and paid $888.09 USD after taxes.
    $879 CAD is a better price. Had to pay canadian taxes at the border above that price also…

  2. Impressive sales in the US, defying those critics who believed it would never live up to the hype. Will it maintain its trajectory though or tail off quickly? This remains to be seen.

    iPad sales in the UK should be similar, as Apple have always enjoyed a strong platform here. This should leave many UK gadget owners looking to sell their iPods to upgrade to the iPad. Fortunately there are currently quite a few alternative platforms to eBay for selling an iPod.

    It is interesting to note that Apple have suddenly ammended the title of the latest iPod Touch models from 'late 2009' to '3rd generation' on their website. Are they planning to unlock some new hidden features?
