One Third of iPad Owners Have Never Installed an App?

A recent survey of iPad owners found that very nearly one third of them have never downloaded a single app. That’s a shockingly big number I’d say. 5% of those surveyed have only downloaded free apps, and 63% have downloaded a paid app.

The survey was a self-administered online one, conducted by nielsenwire.

I’m no surprised to see games and books at the top of the list for most commonly downloaded apps; though I would’ve expected news and magazine apps to rank a little higher.

I have a pretty good number of friends and relatives who own an iPad by now, and I can’t think of any of them who have never installed an app. How about you all? Do you know any iPad owners who have never ‘set foot’ in the App Store?
