We are now under the one week mark until Apple’s new iPad Pros start arriving in the hands of users. The first round of devices started showing up as shipped a couple of days ago and delivery date notifications followed soon after. I was very pleased to see I am in that first group of deliveries on Friday, May 21st that everyone was aiming for.
If only I would be home when it shows up. I’ll be working in Nashville next Tuesday through Friday, so I likely won’t be getting any time with the latest and greatest until Saturday morning. About the best I can hope for is having it activated and restored when I get up in the morning. That’s life in the fast lane. I’m still just happy it will be here when I get home.
Over the next week, I will be reviewing some new accessories in the leadup to the new Pro’s arrival. First off is Logitech’s Combo Touch Keyboard Case, which arrived on Tuesday. While I can’t fully review it until I have an iPad to put it on, it’s definitely worth an early look. I have enjoyed using Logitech’s Folio Touch, which is similar in construction and has the same covering material. It’s pretty easy to draw parallels between them and at least cover the basics of the design, look and feel.
I’ll save the other items for the following days. Working on these reviews will be a welcomed distraction from both the wait for the new iPad Pro and the theater of the absurd that is the Epic vs Apple trial. I don’t want to dwell on the former and I’m just not that interested in the later. Unfortunately, most of the current Apple news is centered on one or the other.
Does anyone else have an iPad Pro arriving next Friday? If not, then when is your delivery date? Let me know in the Comments section below or on Twitter @iPadInsightBlog.
