According to a new report from Bloomberg, Microsoft will not begin testing its ‘next generation’ operating system, that’s touted to be more touch-friendly for tablets, until the end of this year. Meaning they won’t be releasing any tablets running the new OS until mid-2012.

Until then, the only Microsoft tablets will be running Windows 7. While Windows 7 is a much-improved desktop OS, I can’t imagine who wants to run it on a tablet device. Good luck with that MS.

  1. If that meant having a genuine, fully-featured word processor then I’d definitely be interested in a Microsoft tablet.
