Ouch – Blackberry PlayBook Has No Native Email or Calendar Apps

From Gizmodo’s Blackberry PlayBook preview post:

The question is: Who, besides BlackBerry users, is going to want to buy it? The core email and calendar apps are completely tethered to a BlackBerry. Without your BlackBerry, there is no native email or calendar app—just access through the (admittedly good) web browser.

That’s got to be a very bad call. I can’t ever imagine the iPad requiring you to have an iPhone in order to use two basic and essential apps.

  1. If that is the case, they have failed before the even got started….reminds me of recent cancelled product by Microsoft.

  2. RIM Dropped BALL, BIG Time!!! What a waste of Fuel. Now I gotta drive back to Best Buy to return it. Should have said on the Cover, “The World’s Only Professional Tablet with No Native Calender/Tasks, Email, Notes, ect.”

First the Storm, than the Touch, now the Playbook…What is up with RIM???

Technical Help was useless, was as if they were learning as we were talking.
Can’t even Sync with MAC …
