In October 2004, Apple introduced the iPod U2 Special Edition as part of a partnership between Apple, U2 and Universal Music Group. It was the online music industry’s first-of-its-kind “Digital Box Set,” and contained over 400 tracks including all of the band’s albums and over 25 rare and unreleased tracks.
With the launch of iPad, 2010 might well be the year of the iPad Elvis Special Edition. iPod is great for presenting music collections and iPad is great for showing off music and everything else. The Elvis SE iPad would showcase the troubadour’s music, music videos, movies, album art, and memorabilia. Complete with multi-media biography it would be the world’s first-of-its-kind, “Digital Coffee Table Book/Media Set,” focused on the life and music of the King of Rock-n-Roll. What better way to celebrate two great events, the birth of the iPad and the 75th Anniversary of the birth of Elvis Presley.
